CE & Conference FAQs

Q: Are these "international" CE's?

A: No. All speakers/presenters are licensed in the U.S. and CEs are sponsored by an approved American Psychological Association (APA) sponsor for continuing education.

 

Q: Are there CE's for Marriage & Family Therapists, Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, and/or Clinical Professional Counselors?

A: Many State licensing boards (e.g., California & Nevada MFT Boards) accept CEs that are APA approved. However, it is up to the clinician to contact their board and verify that they accept psychology approved CEs.

 

Q: Is the conference only open to mental health professionals?

A: The conference is open to students and mental health advocates as well.

Q: Can my spouse/mom/friend/etc. attend the conference workshops?

A: No. Conference workshops are only open to registered conference attendees. You are required to have a badge to enter each workshop.

Q: Can my spouse/mom/friend/etc. attend the Beach Social Hour?

A: No. The Beach Social is only open to registered conference attendees. While this is included with your registration, you are required to RSVP separately for this event and have a badge to attend. Please do not RSVP if you do NOT plan to attend.

Q: Do you accept payment plans for registration?

A: Yes. We have payment plans (2 payments) for early bird and regular registration fees. However, our current website platform (Squarespace) does not allow for installment plans. Please email CE@Innovationbhs.com to access payment plans. Payment plans are split into 2 installments with the second payment due 30 days later. Payment plans are available up to 45 days before the conference.

Q: Will the conference be available virtually/online?

A: No, the conference is currently an in person event only.

Q: Are there scholarships available?

A: Scholarships are typically available to students and DACA recipients. These will be announced as they become available via email & social media.

Q: Does the registration fee include travel?

A: No. You are responsible for booking your resort stay and travel. We have partnered with Unlimited Escapes Travel for your booking needs, whether you just need to book the resort and/or flights. Payment plans are available for travel plans. Please direct all other travel related questions to Jayna Davison with Unlimited Escapes Travel 702-793-0476.

Q: What are the payment plans for travel?

A:  There is a $300 deposit per person required, and the remainder can be paid in payments. Prices vary depending on where you are flying from. However, payment plans are available. Packages all inclusive (i.e., including food, meals, beverages (cocktails included), flights, and hotel transfers. We recommend booking as soon as possible to take advantage of payment plan options.  Please direct all other travel related questions to Jayna Davison with Unlimited Escapes Travel 702-793-0476.

Q: Can I stay off property?

A: Yes. However, we encourage everyone to stay at the resort to avoid any additional daily resort access pass fees charged by the resort to come on property since the resort is all-inclusive. We have no control over resort policies and procedures.

Q: I have travel credits, can I use them and just booked the resort through the travel agency?

A: Yes. Just let the travel agent know to add you to our room block to ensure you get the reserved rates. Please direct all other travel related questions to Jayna Davison with Unlimited Escapes Travel 702-793-0476.

Q: Can I bring my friends, partner, family? 

A: Yes. You/They can book with Unlimited Escapes to ensure you are on the same flight and in the same room if applicable. 

 

Q: Can I stay a few extra days before or after the conference is over for sightseeing? 

A: Yes. You can modify the travel dates when booking. Many folx are likely staying an extra couple of days to ensure they can fully enjoy the resort and local sights. 

Q: Are the travel and registration costs tax deductible? 

A: Yes if you own your own business, this can be expensed under professional development and travel. 

Q: Can non BIPOC Allies attend the conference?

A: Yes. However, this conference is BIPOC focused and is will remain a safe space for BIPOC. Agreements will be discussed at the onset of each workshop and at the onset of the conference to ensure that BIPOC are amplified and safe. This is not a place or space to extract BIPOC knowledge, appropriate BIPOC healing practices, or engage in other colonial behavior. 

Q: Are there refunds on the conference registration? 

A: Innovation Behavioral Health Solutions, LLC will grant a full refund for any cancellation request submitted in writing more than 30 days for virtual or local workshops, and 90 days for international conferences/events prior to workshop date (minus a $50 administrative fee). No refunds will be granted less than 30 days prior to the workshop date or 90 days for conferences. Registration fees will be applied as a credit to a future CE workshop, valid for one year from date of issuance (minus a $50 administrative fee) for illness/COVID related cancellations. Given that registration includes an acknowledgment of the refund policy prior to checkout, this policy is non-negotiable.

 

Q: Are there refunds on travel? 

A: Please direct all travel related questions to Jayna Davison with Unlimited Escapes Travel 702-793-0476. However, we do recommend that to ensure you are able to access a refund for travel/accommodations, you purchase travel insurance.
